Michelle Chard
DC, CACCP
Dr. Chard grew up in Lake Oswego, OR and went to Lakeridge High School. She then went on to study Exercise and Sport Science at Oregon State University and was a member of the crew team. After college, she worked at various jobs in the mental health field including a residential treatment center, a special education classroom, and at Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp where she currently serves as a board member. It was around that time that she was introduced to chiropractic care when she was a standardized patient at the University of Western States. She learned that chiropractors can do much more than just “crack backs”, and was hooked from the start.
Dr. Chard graduated from University of Western States in December of 2005. While in school, she became pregnant with her first child which started her passion for chiropractic during pregnancy. When her first child was born, she started learning about the benefits of chiropractic care for babies and children. She began taking classes with Upledger, for craniosacral therapy, and with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, for pediatrics and perinatal needs. In January 2013, after over 250 hours in post-graduate work and a very lengthy test, Dr. Chard became a certified pediatric and family care chiropractor. She is also certified in the Webster Technique, which helps ensure that the pelvis is in alignment so the baby can be in the proper position for birth.
Dr. Chard is married and has three girls, Keeley, Kiera, and Kora. She and her husband Kyle are busy taking the girls to their Imagine Theater classes and productions, voice lessons, dance lessons, as well as taking Keeley to pole vaulting lessons.
