General Chiropractic, Pregnancy Care, Webster Technique, Prenatal, Perinatal, Pediatric, Craniosacral
Dr. Michelle Chard grew up in Lake Oswego, OR and went to Lakeridge High School. She then went on to study Exercise and Sport Science at Oregon State University and was a 4 year member of the Crew team. After college, she worked in the mental health field at a residential treatment center, in a special education classroom, and at Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp. She was then introduced to chiropractic when she was a standardized patient at the chiropractic college. She learned that chiropractors can do much more than just “crack backs”, and was hooked from the start.
Dr. Chard graduated from University of Western States in December of 2005. While in school, she became pregnant with her first child. This is when her passion grew about the need of chiropractic during pregnancy. When her first child was born, she learned about the needs for babies and children and chiropractic. She began taking classes with Upledger for Craniosacral therapy and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association for pediatrics and perinatal needs. After over 250 hours in post-graduate work and a very lengthy test, in January of 2013, she became a certified pediatric and family care chiropractor. She is also certified in the Webster Technique which helps ensure that the pelvis is in alignment and the baby can be in the proper position for birth.
Dr. Chard is married and has 3 girls, Keeley, Kiera, and Kora. She and her husband Kyle, are busy with the girls doing gymnastics at Northwest Gymnastics Training Center, church activities (including Junior Bible Quiz and MPact), and school. In her spare time, she enjoys running, scrap booking, and movie night.
