Michelle Waggoner, DC, CCSP
General Chiropractic, Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, Active Release Technique
Dr. Michelle Waggoner was first introduced to chiropractic at the age of 15 as a young athlete. Chiropractic, along with physical therapy, helped keep her feeling good and in the game. She started working for a chiropractor at 18 where she was able to see many more cases of how chiropractic can help people without drugs and using surgery as a last resort. It was then that she decided to apply for chiropractic school.
Dr. Waggoner graduated from University of Western States in June 2006. While there she was an active member of the Student American Chiropractic Association and has been to Washington, DC to lobby for chiropractic friendly legislation several times. She was also part of the Sports Medicine Club where she treated athletes at running, cyclocross and boxing events. She also took courses outside of school to become certified in Active Release Technique and remains certified. Shortly after graduation, Dr. Waggoner enrolled in post-graduate education. After 120 hours and (another) exam, she became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.
On a personal note, Dr. Waggoner is married and has 4 children. Her husband, Aaron, is the choir teacher at Walt Morey Middle School. Their children, Chloe, Sadie, Ashton and Lucy, keep them busy with gymnastics at Top Flyte Gymnastics, dance class at Body and Soul Creative Dance, school and church activities. When she finds some free time she likes to scrap book, shop and find good restaurants to eat at whether as a family or for date night.
